Dre was already known for his work as a member of the World’s Most Dangerous Group, N.W.A., his work with his prodege and longtime friend/collaborator Snoop Dogg on his debut album Doggystyleand his co-founding of the record company Death Row Records with Suge Knight. Dre had solidified his name as one of Hip Hop’s leading producers and more importantly businessmen. In 1992 the world had already been introduced to the gangsta rap scene.
